AUTORUN.INF is the configuration files normally located in the root of removable devices like PEN DRIVE , CD and DVD this files is used by windows when a removable device is connected in order to check which operation has to be done. But most of the cases malwares modifying this AUTORUN.INF file to run there malicious file silently when the removable media is connected.
