In this generation were CDs are becoming obsolete like a thing of the past and DVDs becoming a standard medium of storage.You must have always wished if you could have a copy of your Windows Xp on a DVD.

We at Cshared.com exclusively will teach you how to make a “Bootable Windows XP DVD”

For this part I used IsoBuster and Nero Burning ROM 9

Now install IsoBuster for making the bootable DVD, IsoBuster will look like the preview screenshot below (you need to have your original Windows XP CD in the DVD-ROM drive).

Now extract the boot loader from the original Windows XP CD.Using IsoBuster, select the “folder” Bootable DVD, and right-click Microsoft Corporation.img and extract it to the folder on your hard drive where you have your Windows XP files (in my case its D:XP-CD ).

Then you start Nero Burning ROM, and choose DVD-ROM (Boot) in the New Compilation window. On the Boot tab, select Image file under Source of boot image data, and browse to the location of the Microsoft Corporation.img file.Also enable Expert Settings, choosing No Emulation, and changing the Number of loaded sectors to 4 (otherwise it won’t boot!)

Also configure ISO tab

Now configure the Label tab and use the same Volume Label as on your original Windows XP CD. Here are some (English) Labels:

Then press New, and put the xp files and other softwares(in my case its D:XP-CD).

And finally burn your disc at a medium speed.Dont burn at high speed or else it will get corrupted.

Now you have your very own “bootable Windows XP DVD“

PS:THIS TECHNIQUE ALSO WORKS WITH ALL VERSIONS OF WINDOWS XP
