List of Firefox Shortcuts

Firefox one of most widely used browsing software has a lot of shortcuts and key combination inbuilt with it which can be used for easy navigation and instant access to certain features .lets see the most useful Firefox shortcuts
1.Working On Tabs ( Ctrl +T ,Ctrl+Shift+T)
The most noticeable and cool feature of Firefox is the tab feature in which we can open a lot of site inside a single Firefox window there by keeping the taskbar clean, The short cut Ctrl+T willto open a new tab and Ctrl+Shift+T reopens the last closed tab. The alternate way is to go to history then to recently close tab.
2.AutoComplete the .com,.net and .org
Most of us will know how to autocomplete a .com site, if u dont know here is how its done .suppose you have to go to www.google.com then u have to type google on the address bar and then click Ctrl+Enter.This shortcut works in almost all browsers like chrome,Firefox,ie,opera etc.
And now if we want to go to a .org or .net site how to do it ,For this also there is key combination. In Firefox, Shift+Enter it will autocomplete .net and Ctrl+Shift+Enter autocomplete to .org addresses automatically .
3.Alt+D key combination
If you want to go to the address bar directly without clicking of the adress bar you can use the key combination Alt+D to get directly to the address bar, a useful one
4: Navigate Through the tabs using Ctrl+Tab
This one is very useful feature for all Firefox users.Most of us opens a lot of tabs inside Firefox to browse between these tabs is frequent, so actually we can use mouse and click on the respective tabs to open it other than that you can use Ctrl+Tab to navigate through all the tabs these navigation will be in a sequential order
5.Open Highlighted one in New Tab Ctrl+Enter
This one is also a very useful shortcut.Ctrl+Enter automatically opens a highlighted address in the address bar drop menu to a new tab.when u type g in the address bar if you have browsed gmail and google earlier then both of then comes as dropdown from the address bar you have to highlight which one to open using the down arrow key then use Ctrl+Enter to open that in a new tab
6.Clear your Private Data( Ctrl +Shift+Del)
After browsing sometimes we need to clear all the passwords cookies browsing history etc you can do that by going to tools then to Clear Private data then tickmariking the things you want to clear. Ctrl +Shift+del is the shortcut key used to Clear the Private data from the Firefox
7.Delete Key( del)
Del key alone can be used to del some specific address from the browser history other than Clearing the entire Browsing history.
When you type a single letter in the addressbar suppose you type ‘g’ and if you had browsed gmail and google earlier then both of them will appear as drop down menu from the address bar you can remove gmail.com alone from the browsing history by selecting that address using down arrow and then pressing the del key.
8: Browse through all the tabs (Ctrl+ 1,2,3,….)
Point no 4, we can browse through the tabs using the Ctrl+tab Button, Now you can use Ctrl+1,Ctrl+2,…. to access the tabs ,when ypu press Ctrl+1 the first tab gets opened when you press Ctrl+2,then the second tab get opened and so on
So now you can browse through random tabs .
9: The Middle Mouse Button
Well you can use the mouse middile button as a shortcut we cant say this as a keyboard shortcut infact its a mouse shortcut
you can open any links in a page into another tab by placing the mouse over the link and then clicking the Middle mouse button(scroll button),You will be in the same page but the link will be opened in a new tab
a useful one as well
10.PageUp/PageDown using Spacebar:
You can browse throught the open page by using the scroll button of by simply pressing the space bar by pressnint the space bar you will be able to use the pagedown option, now if you want to use page up option then use shift+spacebar
11.Bookmark any page ( Ctrl+D)
you can use the shortcut key Ctrl+D to bookmark any website opened in the active tab of firefox the bookmark window will open when you press the shortcut.click Done on the new window to bookmark the page
12.Close the Current Tab (Ctrl+W)
Use this shortcut to close tha active tab of the firefox you will be moved to the adjacent tab when you press Ctrl+W the active tab will be closed to close the firefox window fully use Alt+F4 to close the entire firefox
